What is it that Indian parents are collectively doing wrong?

• Aman comes home at 5 pm.
• His mom makes delicious snacks and Aman enjoys them.
• Aman goes back to study table and studies till 10 pm.
• One fine day Aman asks his mom to teach him cooking
• Mom says “Right now its the age for studying, boys don’t cook. Now go and open the book”.
• He follows his Mom’s words.
• After some days he again asks his Mom to teach him cooking.
• Mom says “you would confuse about the gas knob and will mess up”.
• Aman fears and gives up.
• Aman’s parents have to attend an Important event and Aman has Exams.
• Aman have to stay at home alone for somedays
• He goes and eats all kind of outside food, fulfils his wishes.
• Next day Aman reaches the exam hall and his stomach doesn’t co operate.
• Aman falls sick and Aman’s parents return without attending the event fully.

So what is wrong here-

Many parents (not all) stop their children from learning skills fearing their study time may get disturbed.

“Only girls wash the utensils and cook” If this is what you say then your son have to depend on some other person for the whole life.
